High Tea Success

Where: Victoria Park, Brisbane

The June Foundation High Tea at Victoria Park, Brisbane was an outstanding success. 

The event was important to the Foundation as in front of friends, new and old, we profiled our unique history and outlined our future vision. The Foundation's new logo, new website and strategy of building awareness and strengthening relationships was well received by all at the event. 
 
Terry Nodwell, Marketing and Promotions Manager of Energex, the Corporate Sponsor of the High Tea,  was moved to tears on stage as he praised the importance of the Good Sams Foundation and the role of Lisa Newman in touching the lives of homeless women in Brisbane.
 
Dynamic guest speaker, Mrs Lisa Newman, spoke from the heart on homelessness and domestic violence.  She addressed the High Tea last year and is a popular supporter of the Good Sams Foundation.
 
Also attending was the Lady Mayoress, Mrs Anne Quirk, Karen Struthers, Minister for Community Services and Housing and Minister for Women, State MP Fiona Simpson, Local Member for Aspley, Tracey Davis, Meredith Newman representing QLD Senator Claire Moore, Robert Reed from Minter Ellison and Natalie Prince from CEO Challenge. We welcomed also Mrs Kym Swann and her daughter Erinn.
