International projects
In the Philippines, basic health care and education are
a luxury....
The Sisters work in the overcrowded urban environment of Bacolod City and
in the remote mountainous regions on Negros Island providing Livelihood
Educational projects, setting up nutrition programmes (lunch service), subsidising
transport and farming ventures, and providing scholarships to send children
to school.
A developing country, Kiribati has a population of about 78,000. More than
one third of the people live on the main atoll of South Tarawa. A large
percentage of the population live a subsistence lifestyle. In Kiribati,
young people receive skills training that allow them to respond to the social
needs of their own people, culture and country.
