Many people are aware of the desperate situation in East Timor.
Australia even committed troups in an attempt to stabilise the area. With St Vincent de Paul Society, the Foundation has assisted purchase food and desperately need supplies to East Timor. These included rice, clothing, seeds, cooking oil, mosquito nets, furniture, farming tools educational items, carpentry and educational items, and power tools.
We have assisted families attending medical clinics in Dili, supplied funds for sprays to eradicate malaria-bearing mosquitos, provided a rice mill and rice harvester, a dental van, and skills development for women with disabilities to become self employed.
The Foundation aims to continue to provide Emergency Relief as dire circumstances continue to arise. The Foundation is also involved internationally in other areas.
